Wear It to the Grocery Store

I'm always on the hunt for workhorse pieces. You know, those pieces you can wear over and over, to tons and tons of different occasions. Pieces that are basic enough to be accessorized into different looks, and the perfection combination of well-made and well-priced. And...I found one!

So cute! So, so, so cute! If you're not seeing my vision here, let me explain. First off, the color is trendy (cobalt is MAJOR--yes I did just say major), but not so trendy that it dates the dress. It's a perfect alternative to basic black, which, let's face it, can get boring, and it's much more flattering. Trust me, anyone can pull off cobalt, it's not as scary as it looks. The cut of the dress is insanely flattering. The deep-v neckline elongates the neck, making you look taller, and is just deep enough to be sexy. The combination of fitted bodice and gentle a-line skirt works for everyone--it highlights the smallest part of you, and skims over any problem areas. Plus, the gently gathered skirt would be so fun to spin around in! Am I the only one that does that?...Small details like the scoop back and the pleating/weaving at the bodice completely elevate this dress. Seriously, you could wear this to prom, formal dances, weddings, to nice dinners, out on a date, even out shopping if you wore it with more low-key accessories. $345 isn't that much to pay for a dress that'll take you anywhere and make you look good doing it.
