That Runway Glow

Have you ever noticed how models in editorials and on the runway have glowing skin? Not shiny or shimmery skin, but skin that catches the light in just the perfect way, highlighting their features perfectly. Getting that kind of glow on your face can take $100s, but getting that glow all over your body will set you back less than $10. No, it's not too good to be true. Makeup artists use oils to achieve that healthy sheen, and you can too.

I know, the idea of rubbing oil all over yourself freaks some people out, but think about it. Our skin produces oil naturally (if you hadn't noticed), so oil doesn't look out of place on your skin. Oil is actually one of the best things you can put on your skin, just for that reason. On top of oil, this stuff is packed with cocoa butter, another highly moisturizing material. This gel will banish all traces of alligator skin on your arms and legs, I promise. It's a fantastic body moisturizer. Plus, the cocoa butter makes it smell, well, like cocoa butter (but not like chocolate). The smell is a bit strong for the first hour or so, but it dies down into a nice, warm, subtle scent that sticks close to the skin. You can't beat this stuff for price. The tube is huge, and will last you 6-8 months. That's like a dollar a month, or 3 cents a day. Not bad at all.

To apply this, take a pea-size amount and rub it into arms, lower, or upper legs very thoroughly. You don't want to rub it in so much that you eliminate the sheen completely, but enough so that your skin doesn't feel oily. The glow from the oil will stick around for a few hours. It's just a subtle sheen that draws attention to your arms and legs while making you look glowy and healthy (always a plus). Make sure that you don't apply to oil to areas that will be covered by clothing, however. It's an oil, and oil and clothing don't mix. Also, don't apply to areas where you break out easily, as it may clog your pores, and ALWAYS wash your hands before putting them anywhere near your face.
